AMD-Auto Metal Direct
« on: January 12, 2012, 11:27:07 AM »
How is their quality? Is 10% off the prices listed on the website the best deal out there?

Thanks,
Mike Gray

I used their floorpans on my 67 Dart project.   They fit well and are nice pieces.

Best prices are on ebay. Usually at least 20% off AMD's website, and free shipping. If anyone can beat that I'll spend my money with them.

I have bought 2  69 Roadrunner hoods and they were both perfect in every way.

Nice car collection - Survivor Hemi Cuda and 69 RR convert, Challenger 440-6 w/17 k miiles, just a few of their cars.

We have used many or there parts, are they perfect ? NO but they are worth the money you pay. Just get it in you head before you start that you WILL have to modify to make fit perfect. We have to do that to brand new oem sheet metal to this day.

I used there 70 cuda fenders, quarters, trunk floor, shaker hood and a bunch of challenger stuff, all very usable.

I see Jegs and summit carry AMD body panels and their price are better then Ebay prices. Just don't know about the shipping costs?

I just bought a Quarter for my Dart and the quality is pretty darn good. As far as the pricing, I was able to get 20% plus free shipping.

I was at the Mopar trade show last weekend. What a beautiful sight all of the AMD sheet metal Stephens performance had on display was. 14 years ago when I owned a 70 Challenger SE and needed that stuff it wasn't even a possibility. Our hobby is lucky to even have anything to work with!

Thanks for the input. Ordered both full quarters for a '69 Dart thru my local speed shop who deals with Atech (Summit's wholesale side) $494 ea. plus $100 shipping. Helped support a local small business who sponsors our local heads up race series.
